In the Making

“It all revolves around creativity. Being around that creative group of people at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ has changed the dynamic in which I see my everyday life.”
– Jonathan Ota CF ’19

On Thursday, December 17, 2020, we held a virtual conversation with six recent alumni who have chosen careers as makers, entrepreneurs, artists, and educators—each contributing to their communities and their fields in important ways.

View a video of the full conversation above.

In the conversation moderated by ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ staff member Kristen Odle, we were joined by graduates Jonathan Ota, 2019 Cabinet & Furniture Making; Willow Coronella, 2020 Jewelry Making & Repair; Emery Williams, 2020 Carpentry; Nick Gerald, 2019 Violin Making & Repair; Chris Laudolff, 2019 Preservation Carpentry; and Greta Llanes, 2019 Bookbinding.

They discussed what led them to train at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, where they are in their careers now, lasting memories from their time at the School, and more.
